Cottage is an original stone cottage about 150 years old and one of
the original 19th century buildings in Tobermory. It is situated above
the bay close to all of the town’s amenities which are within a few
minutes walk. The cottage has been refurbished inside and out and many
traditional features of the Scottish style have been retained, such as
the window shutters in the main downstairs rooms. The cottage is
extremely spacious offering gue sts
the opportunities for wining and dining together as well as quiet
corners for bookworms and spaces for study or quiet reflection. The
cottage has a 3 STAR "Visit Scotland" self-catering grading
awarded in April 2003.
The cottage is extremely comfortable and spacious providing most of
what is required as a base for an active island holiday .
It is equally suitable as a retreat for a peaceful break, for
unwinding and for relaxation. There is a good collection of books in
the house together with a colour TV, video player and CD player. The
property is centrally heated throughout. The heating is supplemented
by the open coal fire in the lounge (which also heats the water) and
the stove in the kitchen. Coal is included in the weekly rental fee.
The cottage is above the bay - just beyond the church (see photo).
